In May 25, 1972, the Douglas A-4F Skyhawk aircraft of Attack Carrier Wing 21 (CVW-21) are parked on the flight deck of the attack aircraft carrier USS Hancock (CVA-19), armed for a mission over Vietnam. It was the most popular US naval aircraft exports of the post-war era. In 1967, it was removed from front line squadrons, with the last one retiring in 1975.
